1. Aim of the game ? |
The aim of
the game is to make your player evolve through the different ages of
mankind. To do that, you must take care of your character and earn
enough money to teach him new skills, make him strong and build him a
nice house. To get you started, you start off with 200 kneecaps, which
is the currency of the 1st level. With that money in your pocket, you
can hunt, work or bet money with other players to earn more money and
buy luxury items.
|
2. Why register ? |
If you
want to play, you must register. Registration is mandatory because it
assures you that you're the only one who takes care of your character.
It also enables us to make sure you can't cheat by creating other
characters to help your main one.
|
3. Why must I use my e-mail address ? |
It's
thanks to your email address that we make sure that players don't
create other characters to help their main one and cheat.
It also enables us to send out your password if you forget it.
|
4. How much does it cost ? |
This game
is free. It is possible to buy objects that aren't necessary with a
premium rate phone number, text message or via paypal. These items mean that the game will be
easier for you. It covers our server costs and/or programs used to
create the game. So for those of you who don't want to call,
the game is completely free.
|
5. Can people of any age play ? |
Yes! We've
created the game as to not include any swearing or any unsuitable
pictures. As for the difficulty, it's open to everyone though the
younger players might find it a bit hard.
|
6. What do you need a login, password and character name for ? |
The login
and password enable you to connect and take care of your character.
Your character name is the name of the human that you will bring up.
The character name is the name other players will see in the game.
|
7. What sort of computer do I need ? |
If you can
connect to the Internet, your computer is good enough, and your
Internet settings are correct. If you have connection, or display
problems, there are certain points you should check: Enable
JavaScript code JavaScript makes websites more "alive". To check if you have JavaScript
enabled, put your mouse pointer on one of the circles above. If it
moves (you might have to wait a few seconds), Javascript is enabled. If
nothing happens, you must check your Internet settings.

Some mail inboxes put the

wait until midnight and try again (that's when non validated registrations
are reset) and try again.
|
10. I don't want to play anymore, what do I do ? |
If you
don't want to play anymore, all you do is leave your character to die
of natural causes, stop taking care of him/her. Once your character dies,
it will be as if you've never registered.
|
11. Why allow cookies ? I don't like them ! |
Cookies
are very frequently used on the Internet. Practically every online mail
service, every game and every message board use them, they allow sites
to remember your details. Without them you would have to reconnect on
every new page.
For example
www.google.com uses 1 cookie on it's main page, www.msn.co.uk 6 cookies and
www.bbc.co.uk 7 cookies. All that to say that you don't risk anything
using cookies, you're using plenty of them already.
|
12. I don't want to catch a virus ! |
Simply surfing the web means you don't run a
major risk, especially not on human-age. Most viruses happen when you
install programs. This game requires no installation whatsoever, it's a
web based game. So risk free!
The majority of viruses result from email attachments. We NEVER send
attachments with our emails. If you receive an email from an address
that ends with @human-age.com with an attachment, don't open it
because it doesn't come from us!
The original version of this website has more than 40'000 active
players and 180'000 registered players (french version, june 2006).
If 180'000 players trust us, it means we're trustworthy.
